The Yankees have a new No. 1 prospect in MLB Pipeline’s rankings.

It’s actually an old one.

Jasson Dominguez is back in the top spot after being passed late into last season by fellow center fielder prospect Spencer Jones.

MLB Pipeline announced its new top 100 prospects Friday night and the Yankees held four spots, up one from last season’s preseason rankings.

Dominguez is the highest rated Yankees prospect at No. 41, up six from 47th in the 2023 preseason top 100.

Jones is next at No. 84, followed by shortstop Roderick Arias at No. 86 and pitcher Chase Hampton at No. 92.

Orioles shortstop prospect Jackson Holliday is first, followed by Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio, Brewers outfielder, Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, Rays shortstop/third baseman Junior Caminero and Rangers outfielder Evan Carter.

The rest of the top 10 had Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford sixth, Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews seventh, Padres catcher Ethan Sales eighth, White Sox shortstop Colson Montgomery ninth and Twins outfielder Walker Jenkins 10th.

Pitcher Drew Thorpe, who was traded by the Yankees to the Padres in last month’s Juan Soto deal, is ranked 85th.

In last season’s preseason top 100, No. 1 Gunnar Henderson won the AL Rookie of the Year playing third base and shortstop for the Orioles while No. 2 Corbin Carroll won the NL Rookie of the Year playing outfield for the Diamondbacks.

The Yankees’ three in the top 100 last year were Anthony Volpe at No. 5, infielder Oswald Peraza at No. 42 and Dominguez.

Dominguez was evalated to top-ranked Yankee last May when Volpe graduated from prospect status after getting 130 plate appearances with the Yankees. Volpe won the Yankees’ starting shortstop job in spring training then went on to win a Gold Glove as a rookie.

When Volpe became ineligible to be in the top 100, Dominguez moved into the Yankees’ No. 1 position followed by catcher Austin Wells and Jones. At the end of the season, Jones was first, Dominguez second, outfielder Everson Pereira third and Wells dropped to seventh.

Dominguez, 20, spent most of last season in Double-A, but reached the big leagues for the first time in September. The switch-hitting Dominican made a big splash in an eight-game cameo before suffering a season-ending UCL tear that led to a Tommy John surgery that will sideline him until sometime this summer.

On Sept. 1, Dominguez hit a homer off Justin Verlander in Houston in the first inning of his MLB debut , then went on to bat .235 with four homers and seven RBI.
