Irish rugby team joined by wives and girlfriends for night out at Niall Horan concert

Members of the Irish rugby team enjoyed a night off from the pitch at Niall Horan’s concert.

The former One Direction star was performing in Dublin’s 3Arena on Sunday night as part of his new tour, The Show.

After performing to thousands of fans, Niall took time backstage to meet some of the squad and their wives and girlfriends.

Amongst the attendees were members of the Ireland rugby team fresh from their Six Nations victory against Wales on Saturday, including Bundee Aki, Robbie Henshaw and Conor Murray.

Conor’s wife Joanna Cooper shared a photo of the squad meeting Niall backstage, while she also posted a photo of herself and the Mullingar native together.

The model was also joined by fellow rugby WAG Sophie Marren, who is set to wed Robbie Henshaw in the near future, and Jack Conan’s wife Ali Cunningham.

The group went to the Westbury Hotel in Dublin’s city centre and enjoyed a bottle of champagne before the concert.

Joanna also posted some snaps from inside the jam-packed 3Arena, including one picture of her “stealing the limelight” by posing for a photo with a fan in the audience.

“The show was so good though,” she added alongside a photo of the man of the hour on stage.

The Irish rugby team are just two wins away from a second successive Six Nations Grand Slam after beating Wales 31-7 on Saturday afternoon at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The boys in green are now gearing up for their match against England, which will take place on March 9 in Twickenham Stadium, London.

The final match getting in their way of winning the Grand Slam and becoming Six Nations champions for the second year in a row takes place on Super Saturday, March 16, against Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.
