Outbreaks of rain will splash down around the country across the week before a swing in conditions leads to a sunny and dry weekend.
While Met Éireann has forecast some patches of light rain or drizzle, overall, this week will be a lot drier than previous weeks, with gradually increasing daytime temperatures as we move to the weekend.
Sharing weather charts for the coming days, Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather also confirmed that things would get drier, with a high-pressure system moving into place that could be here to stay.
He wrote: “Total rainfall forecast for next 10 days and it’s a long time since I seen so little forecast for 10 days. High pressure moving towards us and could be a little stubborn to move hopefully”.
