On Thursday evening, the Denver Nuggets faced off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

During the first half, Nikola Jokic got poked in the eye (and went to the locker room), but he was able to return and start the third quarter.

That said, the Nuggets lost by a score of 122-84.

After the game, Jokic met with the media and gave an update on his eye.

Via Katy Winge of AltitudeTV: “Nikola Jokić said his eye was painful. When we talked to him postgame he said it was getting better, but now it’s getting worse.

“Hopefully it’s going to be okay.””

Jokic finished his night with 31 points, 11 rebounds and three assists while shooting 13/18 from the field and 2/3 from the three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.

Following the Knicks, the Nuggets will return home for a matchup with Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
