Hundreds rescued from flooding in Texas as waters continue rising in Houston

Is this the worst flooding that I’ve ever seen in my career And and I am a native of the area so I just I can’t remember a time when we’ve had the the river quite this high. I know yesterday we had well over 100 folks that were that were rescued by Texas game wardens and many many more that were rescued by our local partners and other state resources. Here in Liberty County we have over a dozen river communities that flood almost every year. Unfortunately this flooding event is much worse than what they’re used to. So many of them have waited a little too late to realize that, you know they should have maybe heated the the warnings even with the rain, even when it rained really hard and never got this bad. But because of the dam releasing water and it’s going to keep rising this way. We don’t know how much more, but we’re just preparing for the worst and we kind of saw the flooding Friday morning and then we let it build and then we came back today again and started getting worse. We don’t know how much more it’s going to get, so. We’d rather just leave. Take our stuff before it gets even worse.
