Jim Hill High School is mourning the death of band director Chris Little.
Jackson Public Schools announced Little’s death Monday on Facebook.

“Mr. Little left an indelible mark on countless lives through his passion for music,” JPS officials said in the post. “A distinguished former member of the JSU Sonic Boom Marching Band, he consistently inspired his students to achieve their best, demanding nothing short of excellence.”
JPS officials went on to say that Little’s impact will endure through the many students he influenced.
Grief counselors were made available for students, faculty and staff at Jim Hill.
