Diabetes is a chronic non communicable disease that is characterised by increased blood sugar levels. This is a metabolic disorder due to impaired secretion of insulin. This can be prevented by life style modification like having a low calorie diet, reducing the sugar intake and carbohydrates intake, maintaining a healthy weight, physical activity, avoiding junk food and fast food.
