Australian Energy Producers Chief Executive Samantha McCulloch says she is “absolutely confident” carbon capture and storage can be part of the energy picture.

This comes amid the recent announcement from the government regarding the use of gas through to and beyond 2050.
“There are 40 projects around the world that are capturing around 10 per cent of Australia’s annual emissions equivalent,” Ms McCulloch told Sky News Australia
“We know the technology works and we know we need it.
“It is growing … consistent with net-zero goals.
“We’re making really important progress around CCS and we need to continue to invest in what is a crucial technology for our industrial sector.”
