Government ‘attacking farmers’ with renewables push
Geologist Ian Plimer says the Australian government are “attacking farmers” due to recent policies and considerations.
In the push for renewable energy, farmland must be cleared to make way for solar and wind power infrastructure.
Additionally, the government is considering injecting liquefied carbon dioxide into Australia’s largest freshwater basin.
“Why does this country insist on attacking farmers,” Mr Plimer said.
“Pushing them to suicide, sending them bankrupt.
“What is wrong with people in cities? Especially those on the left, where they want to destroy those people who produce food.”
