Let’s all give a major round of applause to the one, the only, Robin Roberts!
The Good Morning America star has a busy career, between hosting the ABC morning show and running her production company, Rockin’ Robin Productions. Amid producing so many projects, one such title she works on is getting major recognition in the world of television.
In an announcement made on April 19, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will be presented live on CBS on June 7. Alongside multiple honorees, Robin received two nominations (one for Daytime Talk Series and one for Directing Team for a Multiple Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program) for her show Turning the Tables, which follows iconic female stars in Hollywood having inspirational conversations and airs on Disney+.
“Good Morning America” star Robin Roberts revealed she was nominated for two 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards for her series “Turning the Tables.”
Shortly after the news came out, Roberts went on Instagram to express her gratitude for the career achievement. “So proud of the entire team for our 2 Emmy nominations for this series,” she wrote. “Grateful to our wonderful guests in Season 2. Congrats to all this year’s Emmy nominees! 👏🏽❤️.”
When fans learned of the TV personality’s milestone achievement, they immediately went to the comments to celebrate in Robin’s success.
“Congratulations 👏❤️ you deserve it. Love watching you! Truly the best,” one person wrote. “Very well deserved Robin and the team 👍😊,” another agreed. “Congrats! So proud of you Robin 👌🏻🌹🌹🙏🏻💚,” a different follower added.
Although it’s unclear if Turning the Tables will return for new episodes, Roberts isn’t letting that stop her from pursuing the quest to speak with iconic women in entertainment about their journeys.
In a post uploaded on Instagram on April 15, Roberts shared she’ll be speaking with country superstar Lainey Wilson in a TV special titled Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country. The program will air on Hulu starting May 29, and it will see Roberts and Wilson get personal about the latter’s adventures in music.
“From dreamer to Grammy winner, @laineywilson’s story is one of resilience and passion,” she wrote. “Join us as we explore her incredible journey together through ‘Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country’ streaming on @Hulu beginning Wednesday, May 29.”
Congrats, Robin!
