Irish celebrity hairdresser behind Megan Fox's drastic new look for Coachella

It’s one of the most famous festivals in the world and is renowned for its style with attendees planning their outfits months in advance – and Megan Fox was ready for a drastic new look as she headed to Coachella this week.

Looking for inspiration, she turned to Irish hairdresser to the stars, Andrew Fitzsimons, and as always he delivered, creating a striking hairstyle for the actress.

Posting a picture of the star on his social media Megan, who is renowned for her stunning and glistening dark hair, went for a completely different look.

Megan opted for a candy floss blue hair down to her waist with a hint of silver running throughout. The perfect funky look for a music festival!

The Jennifer’s Body star said she was aiming for ‘Coachella energy’ with the look, telling People magazine: ‘I actually have a blue bob right now. We added the extensions in to give it more Coachella energy. I think I bleached it, and I destroyed it. So I might as well run through all the colors before I go brown.’

Sharing a picture of his work on social media, Andrew wrote: ‘Coachella Day 1 with Megan Fox using @andrewfitzsimonshair Après Sexe Texture Spray, Hard Strong Hold Hairspray and @bellamihair Silk Seam Clip In extensions custom colored by @kristyhatesyou. ‘

And she wasn’t the only celeb to change up their hair this week as Love Island star Maura Higgins spared no expense to pull out all the stops for the first weekend of the annual Coachella festival.

For the first day of Coachella, Maura debuted a drastic hair transformation, sporting a long, blonde wig with a fringe.

Apparently, the look didn’t sit quite right with some of her followers, who got in contact with her hairstylist and best pal Carl Bembridge to question his methods.

Celebrity hairstylist Carl has been working in his chosen profession for over 18 years, getting a host of top celebrities- including Ariana Grande and our very own Maura – red carpet-ready.

Maura and Carl took the criticism in their stride, with the hairstylist joking that he’s going to have to ‘practice’ to get better, as Maura chimed in that he’d need to go ‘back to college’.
