Former 5-Star Texas Cornerback Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Texas cornerback Terrance Brooks announced his plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

“I want to thank God, my family, and the Longhorn Nation for everything,” Brooks posted on social media. “At this time I will be entering into the transfer portal.”

Brooks saw action in 23 career games with 19 starts over two seasons with the Longhorns.

He was an All-Big 12 honorable mention this season after recording 20 total tackles, three interceptions, and nine pass breakups. He a key piece to the Texas secondary as the Longhorns made the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.

Brooks signed with Texas as a five-star prospect out of Little Elm, Texas. He ranked as the No. 24 overall prospect and No. 3 cornerback in the class of 2022, according to On3. He was also ranked the No. 2 cornerback and No. 6 player in Texas.
