The Penn State Nittany Lions learned they’d be without their top-producing wide receiver from the 2023 college football season after KeAndre Lambert-Smith submitted the paperwork to enter his name into the college football transfer portal Monday evening. The former four-star recruit amassed 1,721 career receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons.
Since announcing his decision to play his fifth season elsewhere, he’s already heard from five big-name schools willing to add him to their receiving corps. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Lambert-Smith has already heard from the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas A&M Aggies, Colorado Buffaloes, and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
The Mountaineers are certainly aware of what Lambert-Smith is capable of after giving up two scores to Penn State’s star wideout during the first game of the 2023 season. His first of the day went for more than 70 yards on the first play of the season.
He hauled in 673 receiving yards in 2023 along with four touchdowns. He was the fourth-ranked player in Virginia as part of the 2020 college football recruiting class.
