Every Potential Super Bowl Matchup Ranked By Entertainment Value

In just over two weeks, Super Bowl LVII will officially get underway from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Four teams – the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers – still have a shot at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in 2024, but which Super Bowl matchup would fans be most excited to see?

That’s what we’ll be breaking down here. Below, we’ve ranked every potential Super Bowl matchup based on entertainment value.

4. Chiefs vs. 49ers

Perhaps it’s simply dynasty fatigue – but outside of Kansas City (and the AFC North), it feels as though the entire NFL world is rooting for Lamar Jackson and Baltimore in the AFC title game.

Combined with the fact that these two teams met in the Super Bowl just four years ago, a Chiefs-49ers showdown for the right to hoist the Lombardi Trophy checks in as our least-riveting potential Super Bowl matchup.

3. Chiefs vs. Lions

Any Super Bowl matchup featuring the Lions automatically earns bonus points in the watchability category – the Detroit franchise is one of just four NFL teams never to make it to the big dance. With that said, though, these two clubs already met in Week 1 and delivered fans a showdown that would be difficult to match – even in the Super Bowl.

2. Ravens vs. Lions

These two teams already met in the regular season – and it was a beatdown by Baltimore. Lamar Jackson helped guide the Ravens to an 28-point first-half lead and the AFC North squad never looked back en route to 38-6 victory. We’re confident the Lions would have a better game-plan this time around – but given the result earlier in the year, fans may prefer the No. 1 potential Super Bowl matchup on our list.

1. Ravens vs. 49ers

Ravens-49ers has been the most-commonly predicted Super Bowl matchup since the 2024 postseason began – and for good reason. Both teams earned the No. 1 seed in their respective conferences and have proved to be two of the most dominant clubs in the NFL this year.

Baltimore and San Francisco did already meet in Week 16 in a game that saw Brock Purdy toss four interceptions in a 33-19 Ravens win, however, a battle between the top seeds in each conference is too much to pass up as the No. 1 potential Super Bowl matchup.
