Energy Secretary says Met made ‘serious misstep’
Well, look, I think it has been a a serious misstep. I don’t think any community, in this case the Jewish community, should feel that they can’t walk around and live their normal lives. So I do think this has been a serious mistake when it comes to policing. The Home Secretary has written to the Met and I know there’ll be a meeting in coming days, but I would just remind everyone that the person who’s got the responsibility to hold policing in the Met accountable overall is the Labour London Mayor, Sadiq Khan.
