Sunny spells and scattered showers are forecast for Monday but some areas in the north will experience heavy rain with the change of hail and thunder, Met Éireann has said.
Rain will become confined to the northern half of the country by this evening and daytime temperatures will be between 7C and 10C.
Overnight there will be long clear spells and some scattered showers will spread from the northwest. Lowest temperatures will be between 3C and 7C.
Tuesday will see dry spells but scattered showers will spread across the country through the day. However Met Éireann said it will be a bright day with widespread sunny spells and temperatures will be between 8C and 12C.
It will be a dry night on Tuesday with a few isolated showers and temperatures to drop to between 2C and 6C.
Beyond Tuesday, Met Éireann said it will become gradually drier as the week goes on but there will be some light showers at times.
Most places will be dry on Wednesday and the day will be mostly cloudy with a few isolated showers. Highest temperatures will be between 8C and 12C. Wednesday night will be mostly dry when light rain and drizzle will ease and temperatures as low as between 3C and 7C.
Thursday is forecast to be another dry day but there will be some light showers and temperatures between 11C and 14C.
Friday will begin cloudy and any scattered showers will make way for sunny spells in the afternoon. Temperatures between 11C and 16C is expected.
While the weekend is expected to be largely dry, it will stay dull and cloudy with some light showers.
