Eagles Free Agent RB Boston Scott Finds New Home
The Philadelphia Eagles backfield was already set to look much different next season with the addition of Saquan Barkley, but now one of the more familiar faces is officially on his way out.
Per reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Eagles free-agent running back Boston Scott is signing with the Los Angeles Rams.

Schefter reports that the contract is a one-year deal.
Scott was a sixth-round pick by the Eagles out of Louisiana Tech in 2018 and exceeded expectations. He’s played all six of his NFL seasons with Philadelphia, appearing in 73 regular-season games while tallying 302 carries for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Eagles signed Barkley, the former New York Giants star, earlier this offseason while letting 2023 starter D’Andrw Swift walk in free agency to the Chicago Bears after just one season with his hometown Eagles. Philadelphia also drafted Clemson running back Will Shipley in the fourth round, adding another new face to the backfield.
The Rams already have a loaded backfield with 2023 breakout star Kyren Williams and the recently-drafted Blake Corum out of Michigan. Scott now adds some veteran experience for coach Sean McVay and QB Matthew Stafford to lean on.
