Cleveland Browns Receive Another Huge Injury Update On Nick Chubb For 2024
The Cleveland Browns are heading into the 2024 NFL season hoping to have star running back Nick Chubb back on the field at some point. After an incredibly brutal knee injury last season, no one knows when he will return to the field. He truly is the heart and soul of the Cleveland offense.
Chubb has been one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL throughout his career. Hopefully, he’ll be able to return from the injury and get back to his old form.
With that being said, a new update has dropped about Chubb heading into the 2024 NFL season.
Cleveland Browns Receive Another Huge Injury Update On Nick Chubb For 2024
According to a report from Cleveland Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Chubb has made some progress but there are still questions surrounding his availability for the upcoming season.
“Chubb won’t be participating in OTAs or the minicamp from a team drills standpoint, but he’s been around all offseason rehabbing the knee and providing inspiration to his teammates. He also spends some time during the offseason training at his high school, Cedartown in Georgia, and could be back and forth during OTAs. But he’s been running for several weeks, and looks good. If all goes as planned, he’ll test the twice-reconstructed left knee during training camp, and work toward a return to the field as soon as possible.”
The good news is that the Cleveland Browns’ star has been running for several weeks. He may miss out on OTA’s and minicamp, but he seemingly hasn’t been ruled out of training camp or preseason action yet. That may seem like a stretch for him to play in the preseason, but it’s always worth having a goal.
During the 2023 season with the Browns, Chubb ended up carrying the football 28 times for 170 yards in two games before the injury. Back in 2022, however, he racked up 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Chubb and the Cleveland Browns. They certainly need him on the field if they want to contend in the AFC.
Expect to hear more updates about Chubb as the Browns get underway in training camp and preseason action. Will he be able to return for Week 1 of the season against the Dallas Cowboys? For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
