Although it received positive reviews from critics, fans were frustrated to find that Dragon’s Dogma 2 includes an assortment of microtransactions despite its $70 price tag. However, many of the benefits that these microtransactions give can be obtained by simply playing the game, so this issue might not be an end-all-be-all for some Dragon’s Dogma fans. However, Itsuno also emphasized that new players should be free to pick whatever Vocation seems most appealing to them.

Itsuno went on to reveal his personal Vocation setup, which consists of the Warfarer Vocation for his protagonist and the Sorceror Vocation for his three pawns. Warfarer and Sorceror are not part of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s starting Vocations, but can be unlocked by completing certain quests. Initially, players must choose between Fighter, Mage, Thief, and Archer.

Capcom recently responded to the backlash caused by the early issues in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The studio confirmed that it’s working on solutions for bugs, stability issues, and save problems. The post did mention Dragon’s Dogma 2’s use of microtransactions, but did not say that these would be adjusted or removed.
