'Disappointing': Winnipeg Jets 1st Canadian team knocked out of NHL playoffs
It’s definitely a disappointing result. I think with the pieces we added, you know, we felt we could play with any team in this league and you know the goaltending we have. So it’s going to be a long summer, a disappointing one. This one’s going to sting for a while. But we need to, we need to take the lessons from what they did out there because you know, they were, they were the better hockey team and and we need to find a way to to get to that level. The Jets became the first Canadian team knocked out of the playoffs after losing the final four games of the best of seven series. Many fans at the Whiteout party downtown also felt the emotion of last night’s loss. While disappointed, some are already looking ahead to next year. I think they were outplayed games, 2-3 and four, and I think they were also out coached. So we saw Perfetti tonight, we saw Colin Miller tonight, they came to play and it’s really unfortunate we didn’t see them earlier in the season. They couldn’t get boxing deep, they couldn’t score. Man, the Avalanche is just a completely better team. Makar owns us, McKinnon owns us. And we’ll get them next year. That’s all.
