Les gaz chimiques russes provoquent la panique chez les ukrainiens

Selon une enquête du Telegraph, les troupes russes mènent une campagne systématique d’attaques chimiques illégales contre les soldats ukrainiens.

Le  journal anglais s’est entretenu avec un certain nombre de soldats ukrainiens déployés sur des positions situées sur la ligne de front, qui ont expliqué comment leurs positions ont fait l’objet d’attaques quasi quotidiennes de la part de petits drones, larguant principalement des gaz lacrymogènes, mais aussi d’autres produits chimiques.

L’utilisation de ce type de gaz, connu sous le nom de gaz lacrymogène et couramment utilisé par la police anti-émeute, est interdite en temps de guerre en vertu de la convention sur les armes chimiques.

Les gaz sont utilisés pour les débusquer, provoquer la panique et les forcer à sortir de leurs abris puis permettre aux obus ou armes conventionnelles de mieux les faucher, ou aux drones de mieux les bombarder.

Les soldats ukrainiens reçoivent désormais un entraînement et des consignes claires en cas d’attaque au gaz. Ils doivent endurer l’enfer physique et l’angoisse terrible qu’elle provoque sans sortir de leur tranchée ou de leur position protégée, et attendre vaille que vaille que l’effet des gaz ne finisse par s’estomper, au bout de quelques minutes.
