Chris Jones does two things on gameday. First and foremost, he harasses quarterbacks. But before that, he sheds a little eyewater.
Jones’ pregame tears have been a constant through the Kansas City Chiefs’ run to Super Bowl 58. As cameras pan across the sidelines during the national anthem, they’ve caught Jones quietly blinking back tears as he reflects on his country and the game ahead of him.
That held true on the brink of the biggest game of the season. Reba McIntyre sped through the first half of an efficient anthem, but CBS’s cameras were still able to catch a pair of teardrops streaking down the All-Pro’s cheeks.
