The Chicago Bears finished 7-10 last year, but there are signs of optimism with the way the team played to end the season. With the Bears expected to be led by Caleb Williams entering next season, expectations are high heading into 2024.
Let’s take a look at the Bears’ schedule for the 2024 NFL season, where their strength of schedule (SOS) ranks, our record prediction, and preview their biggest matchups.
Chicago Bears’ Schedule and Opponents
We don’t yet know the Bears’ exact schedule as that information has not been released, but we do know who their opponents will be for the 2024 season.
We will have to wait for the official NFL schedule release to find out exactly when Chicago will face the following teams.
Home: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots
Road: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders
Bears’ Strength of Schedule
Things are looking promising for the Bears as they are projected to have the sixth-easiest strength of schedule in the NFL, based on PFN’s in-house metric.
The NFC North was one of the better divisions in the league last year with two playoff teams. The Bears were tied for last in the NFC North with the Vikings, as they were both 7-10.
The Bears will face five teams this season who made the playoffs last year, with three of those games coming at home.
Their most difficult game looks to be on the road against the 49ers, the defending NFC champions.
Bears Record Prediction: 8-9
The Bears’ win total for 2024 is set at 8.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook, with juice on the over (-130). This boost in their outlook is likely tied to potentially having Williams at quarterback and the way their defense played to end last season.
With Justin Fields being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, it is a new era for the team. The Bears have already added to the offense with the addition of Keenan Allen to pair with DJ Moore. This will give Chicago one of the best 1-2 receiver duos in the NFL, which is great for a rookie quarterback.
That 8-to-9-win region is pretty much spot-on for the Bears this year. They are still likely no better than just the third-best team in the division as the Lions and Packers appear to be two NFC contenders.
Biggest Matchups of the Year
Fans of the Bears will initially want to know when they’re taking on their main rivals — the Lions, Packers, and Vikings.
Chicago went 2-4 in the NFC North last season, with wins at Minnesota and at home against Detroit.

Hosting the reigning NFC champions will naturally be a big matchup for the Bears, as is hosting two of the best teams in the NFC, the Packers and Lions.
Being able to play the AFC South could be big when the team is trying to make a push to the playoffs. The AFC South was up and down last season, and the division is arguably the weakest in the NFL.
