The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving. Here's the route it will take.

HOUSTON — Houston’s 74th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade is right around the corner!

The downtown parade is free to spectators, but there are a limited number of seats available at its start. Those interested in those seats can purchase tickets here! The parade kicks off at 9 a.m.

Here’s the route the parade will take:

• The parade starts on Smith Street at Lamar and will head toward Walker Street where it will take a right turn.
• Once on Walker Street, the parade will march down to Milam Street and take another right.
• The longest stretch of the parade will be on Milam Street as it goes all the way to Pease Street before taking another right.
• The parade won’t stay on Pease Street for long, quickly taking another right onto Louisiana Street.
• The Louisiana Street leg of the parade goes until Clay Street where it will take a left turn.
• The route follows Clay Street until it meets back up with Smith Street, where it will return to the start.

How to watch

If you don’t want to head downtown to see the parade in person, you can watch the parade LIVE on KHOU 11. Our pre-parade coverage begins at 8 a.m., followed by the parade at 9 a.m. We’ll have it live on air, online and on KHOU 11 + on Roku, FireTV and AppleTV.

Great Day Houston’s Deborah Duncan and KHOU 11 anchor Ron Treviño will call the parade, with reporter Ugochi Iloka reporting from the route.
