With a new season of Married at First Sight UK just around the corner fans of last season are devastated after learning that one of the most lovable couples has broken up.
Peggy Rose and Georges Berthonneau have gone their separate ways. For those who can’t remember, Georges was the one with the online gaming venture, that Peggy was not too sure about.

Taking to social media, Peggy broke the news that the couple had split a few weeks ago and that she was ‘absolutely heartbroken.’

Peggy and Georges’ experience on the show was far from smooth hitting many bumps along the way particularly when Peggy’s parents made it clear that they were not happy about Georges being their son-in-law.
However, towards the end, many viewers at home believed that Georges was Peggy’s prince charming and was ready to change by quitting the gaming world – but it now looks like will not get her Happily Ever After.

Taking to her stories Peggy broke the news to her followers with a statement, saying: ‘Me and Georges are no longer together and I’m absolutely heartbroken.’
She went on to say how the break up has ‘affected her mental health’ and it has taken her weeks to come to terms with it – but on Valentine’s Day, the hurt is still very raw, and she ‘can’t pretend to be OK’.

Finishing off the message, she said: ‘Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey…nobody is more upset about it than me.’
Georges, who was unaware that his former partner was making the news public, decided to respond to the news with his own post.

Georges also expressed his sadness about the break-up and ‘coming to terms with life without Peggy,’ but said that he won’t talk about what happened anytime soon.
With fans left trying to guess what happened, hopefully, the tide will turn and they will work it out!
