Doritos has recalled Tangy Cheese products from certain stores (Picture: Doritos)
Doritos has issued a recall of one of its popular products after discovering it contains an undeclared ingredient that could pose an allergy risk.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said Doritos was recalling its Tangy Cheese flavour because soya was not declared on the ingredients list.
The snack had been mispacked with Doritos Chilli Heatwave, which contains soya, it said.
The recall notice only affects Doritos Tangy Cheese 180g sold in Tesco and Doritos Tangy Cheese 5 x 30g multipacks from Poundland.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: ‘Doritos is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
‘The company has also issued a recall notice to customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.’
The FSA said customers should not eat the product and should instead call a Customer Care Line on 0800 274 777 to arrange a full refund.
