NEW DELHI: The Bangalore Rural (Ramanagara) Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, was formed in 2008 after the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies. It consists of eight assembly segments, with seven derived from the former Kanakapura Lok Sabha constituency, which was abolished in 2008.

The voting for the Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 is scheduled for April 26 (Phase 2), with the counting and announcement of results set for June 4. The electorate is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to exercise their voting power in the upcoming election. Among the prominent candidates for the 2024 Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha Constituency are Dr C N Manjunath from the Bharatiya Janata Party and DK Suresh from the Indian National Congress.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, D K Suresh of the INC was the winning candidate from the Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituency, securing 878258 votes while 671388 votes were polled in favour of Ashwathnarayangowda of the BJP. Ashwathnarayangowda lost by 206870 votes.

Similarly, in the 2014 elections, D K Suresh of the INC was the winning candidate from the Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituency, securing 652723 votes while 421243 votes were cast in favour of Muniraju Gowda P of the BJP.” In 2014, the Bangalore Rural parliamentary constituency had a total of 2190398 registered electors.
