Armas e munições são furtadas de batalhão da PM em Santos (SP)

SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – Nem mesmo o reforço no policiamento prometido pela gestão Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) para a Baixada Santista após recorrentes casos de violência foi capaz de evitar um crime dentro de um batalhão da polícia.

Armas e munições foram furtadas da sede do 6° Batalhão de Polícia Militar do Interior, localizado na avenida Ana Costa, no bairro Gonzaga, em Santos.

Uma vistoria realizada na madrugada de domingo (5) identificou a falta de duas pistolas, cerca de 200 munições, diversos carregadores e outros acessórios de proteção individual. Os objetos ficavam guardados dentro de um dos armários instalados em um alojamento.

Segundo a PM, o local passou por perícia, e o caso é investigado por meio de um Inquérito Policial Militar. De acordo com a SSP (Secretaria da Segurança Pública), diligências são realizadas na tentativa de identificar o autor do crime e recuperar o material.

A sede do 6° batalhão foi um dos locais que abrigou boa parte dos PMs vindos da capital e do interior do estado durante as operações Escudo –realizada entre julho e setembro de 2023, que resultou na morte de ao menos 28 pessoas durante supostos confrontos–, e Verão, entre fevereiro e abril de 2024, que terminou com 56 mortos.

Tais ações ocorreram após as mortes dos soldados da Rota Patrick Bastos Reis, 30, em julho, durante patrulhamento na periferia de Guarujá, e Samuel Wesley Cosmo, 35, em uma favela de palafitas em Santos, em fevereiro.

Guarujá e Santos foram as cidades que mais tiveram reforço no policiamento e também que registraram mais mortes no período.

Relatório da Ouvidoria da Polícia divulgado nesta segunda-feira (6) perfilou boa parte dos 28 mortos em 40 dias durante a Operação Escudo. Do total, 20 eram pardos, quatro brancos, três pretos e um não teve a cor da pele mencionada no registro obtido pelo órgão. Vinte e uma mortes ocorreram em Guarujá, seis em Santos e uma em Praia Grande.
