Apple unveils new iPads
Hey there Carl. Yeah, so refresh is here for the two top iPad models. That’s the iPad Pro and the iPad Air. Before I get into the details here, I also want to note that Apple calling these devices incredibly powerful for artificial intelligence. As far as the examples they gave as what that means not too many. They showed some document scanning and some video and photo editing. But really we’re going to find out how this hardware enables artificial intelligence next month that the developers conference, we’re expecting a fuller announcement. As for the hardware here, the iPad Air gets an upgrade. Looks the same but faster processor and now comes in a bigger size and then the iPad Pro. This is debuting the newest. M chip, those are the, this is called the M4. This is those Mac chips that they’ve been using. Some of the higher end iPad models use them and again, they’re really talking up the artificial intelligence capabilities of this chip. You’re looking at it right now, the M4, saying it unlocks a lot of potential, but again, this is just the hardware. We don’t know how Apple is really thinking about artificial intelligence in a real way on the software side. So more to come there, I assume. And then a bunch of accessories, of course, their new keyboard cases that they call the Magic Keyboard. Kind of looks makes your iPad look like a MacBook when you click it in there. And then a new Apple Pencil, which they’re calling the Apple Pencil Pro. Anyway, these are not cheap devices. The iPad Air is going to start at 599 and the Pro starts at 999, or the bigger model is going to be 1300 bucks plus plus whatever you got for the keyboard there. So that’s what we got to have Apple today, guys.
