Anthony Davis Made NBA History In Mavs-Lakers Game

On Wednesday evening, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Dallas Mavericks in California.
During the game, Davis made NBA history by moving ahead of Elton Brand (16,827) for 103rd on the all-time scoring list.
Following Brand, the next player for Davis to pass will be Bob Cousy (16,960).
Davis came into the evening with impressive averages of 25.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per contest while shooting 55.1% from the field and 32.6% from the three-point range in 39 games.
The Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 20-21 record in their first 41 games.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 112-105.
In 38 minutes of playing time, Davis had 27 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block while shooting 9/17 from the field.
After Wednesday’s matchup, the Lakers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday evening in Los Angeles.
Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and spent the first seven seasons his career with the New Orleans Pelicans.
He is in his fifth season with the Lakers and helped lead them to the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.
The eight-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 24.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per contest while shooting 52.1% from the field and 30.1% from the three-point range.
