LSU alum Angel Reese will make her WNBA preseason debut in a little more than two weeks. When she does, it will be with a new uniform number.
Reese wore No. 10 during her four collegiate seasons (two at LSU and two at Maryland), but she is yielding that number to a new teammate, fellow rookie and former South Carolina center Kamilla Cardoso.
Instead, Reese will rock the No. 5 jersey as a rookie.
Cardoso was the No. 3 overall pick by the Sky in the 2024 WNBA draft on Monday night, and Reese was picked seventh overall by Chicago.
The Sky, who went 18-22 last season, open the WNBA preseason at the Minnesota Lynx on May 4 at 8 p.m. ET. Chicago opens the regular season at the Dallas Wings on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET.
Reese will make her home regular-season debut with the Sky on May 25 at 8 p.m. ET against the Connecticut Sun at Wintrust Arena.
