Amid loud construction noise, Sachin Tendulkar’s neighbour requests legend to restrict work to ‘reasonable hours’
NEW DELHI: In an unexpected turn of events, a request from a Sachin Tendulkar neighbour took social media by storm as he asked the batting great to limit the construction work at his Bandra residence to reasonable hours.
Dilip D’Souza, a supposed Sachin neighbour in Mumbai’s Bandra had been struggling with the noise created by the construction work near him.
The neighbour, in a viral social media post, pointed out that the work has been going on beyond permitted time and requested Sachin to help resolve the issue.
The request from Dilip had mixed reaction on the internet as users went on to point out that the construction work is permitted till 10 pm.
“You could have called the authorities & gone about it he right way, instead you want publicity here,” a user wrote.
“So, what’s the problem? Have you not ever constructed a house before? The day of casting takes non-stop cementing running into overnight. Have some compassion man,” another user wrote.
On Monday, Dilip came up with a follow-up post on his request, saying that Sachin’s office had a word with him.
