In the world of wireless earphones, Apple AirPods take the top spot with their premium build, extensive features, and simple appearance. It is, however, not for everyone since it is better optimised for Apple devices such as iPhones, Macs, and iPads.

Worry not! There are plenty of truly wireless earphones that cost a lot less than AirPods and offer exceptional audio quality along with many superior features. Here are the top five wireless earphones that we have reviewed over the last few months:

If you are an iPhone user, think no further, get the AirPods Pro (review). The updated version now comes with a USB-C port (launched in 2023), allowing you to charge them using an iPhone 15 charger. AirPods Pro are known for their distinctive look, audio quality, and noise cancellation capability. While they can also be used with an Android smartphone or a Windows notebook, they are best paired with an iPhone, iPad, or a Mac. The AirPods Pro currently retails for Rs 24,900 on various online channels and offline stores.

Despite being much cheaper than their predecessor, the OnePlus Buds 3 (review) are one of the best True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones one can buy from a well-known smartphone brand. Available for Rs 5,499, the Buds 3 are powered by dual dynamic drivers and support cutting-edge wireless audio technologies like LHDC 5.0. They offer top-notch noise cancellation with up to 49dB, and on a single charge, the buds can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life, extending up to 44 hours with the case. It is a must-have for OnePlus smartphone users.

Samsung’s latest Galaxy Buds FE can be considered a budget option from the brand. It misses out on features like in-ear detection and wireless charging and costs Rs 7,599. However, compared to the Buds 2 and the Buds 2 Pro, the Buds FE offer superior battery life and an improved “Ergonomic Comfort” design, enabling hours of wear without ear fatigue. Paired with a Galaxy S24/23 series smartphone, these buds gain generative AI capabilities such as real-time two-way translation.

Nothing’s latest flagship earbuds (R) Ear (review) come packed with new features and capabilities, including support for high-resolution audio, improved noise cancellation performance, and more balanced audio tuning. At Rs 11,999, it costs a bit more than its predecessor. With a distinctive look and functionality, there is nothing quite like the Nothing (R) Ear in the market.

If you are looking for something premium and the AirPods Pro don’t quite cut it for you, then the Marshall Motif II (review) is an excellent choice, offering signature Marshall design and audio tuning with an emphasis on bass. These wireless earbuds come with a metal construction, making them look premium and sturdy, although slightly heavier as well. They currently sell for Rs 19,999 and are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
