PBA summons Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, fines Guiao for dirty finger
TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will be summoned by the PBA Commissioner’s Office to explain his action that led to a heated verbal altercation involving him and Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao during the two teams’ Commissioner’s Cup game over the weekend at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The former NBA player is set to personally appear at the league office after a review by officials of the final 49 seconds of the highly-emotional game where the incident took place.

Guiao has not been summoned, but an appropriate fine will be meted on the veteran coach after being caught on camera flashing the middle finger against Hollis-Jefferson.
The TNT import caused a commotion when he headed to the area behind the bench of the Elasto Painters in the waning seconds of the match won by the Elasto Painters, 119-112.
Hollis-Jefferson said he was actually going after the referees as he was frustrated by the foul called on his replacement and brother Rahli Hollis-Jefferson while trying to thwart a shot by Rain or Shine counterpart Tree Treadwell.
Rondae went after the game official at the sideline, but later on found himself already behind the bench of the Elasto Painters.
Guiao and the rest of the team obviously didn’t like his presence near the Rain or Shine bench that soon after, a heated exchanged of words followed.

After the game, the import claimed he’s now an ordinary fan since he’s no longer in the official lineup of the Tropang Giga after sustaining an injury during the team’s game in the East Asia Super League.
Guiao later described Hollis-Jefferson’s action as ‘disrespectful,’ while the import accused the Rain or Shine coach of flashing a dirty finger on him and denied he intended to go behind the Elasto Painters bench.
