The top Democrats in Albany County came together on Tuesday to hand out political endorsements. Incumbent District Attorney David Soares did not get one. Meanwhile, thieves targeting Asian business owner homes in Colonie are currently under investigation by Colonie Police. 1. Four Market 32 stores to open in Capital Region
Price Chopper announced plans to open up four Market 32 stores in Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna, and North Greenbush on Tuesday. Two sites formerly belonged to ShopRite and the other two are replacing old Price Chopper stores.
2. Albany County DA does not receive endorsement from Democratic executive committee
The top Democrats in Albany County came together on Tuesday to hand out political endorsements. Incumbent District Attorney David Soares did not get one.
3. Thieves target Asian business owner homes in Colonie
Colonie police say the suspects surveil business owners then follow them to find out where they live. Once they realize the business owners aren’t home, the culprits go back to the house then break in and steal anything of value.
4. Two restaurants swapping spaces in Saratoga County
Two restaurants in Saratoga County are moving into each other’s previous locations. Sara’s Kitchen and Whole Harvest are swapping spots between the Wilton Mall and Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
5. McGeary’s Irish Pub in Albany up for sale
McGeary’s Irish Pub, located at 4 Clinton Square in Albany, has been listed for sale. Owner Tess Collins said the pub is staying open while the property is on the market.
