$1,312 stimulus check distributed from oil earnings.
Another round of PFD stimulus checks issued.
If you’re a resident of Alaska who previously applied for the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) stimulus check, it’s time to check your bank account. Today, a $1,300 payment is set to be mailed out. As per the Alaska Department of Revenue’s schedule for stimulus check payments, eligible residents will receive their next payment on Thursday, May 16th.
Amidst the ongoing economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, various states in the United States are still extending economic assistance and stimulus checks to their residents. These payments, including the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) distributed to Alaska residents, aim to alleviate the financial strain for low-income households dealing with healthcare costs and high inflation. Some of these incentives are funded from surplus finances, while others originate from guaranteed income or prior tax refunds.
Thanks to Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) initiative, another $1,312 stimulus check payment from oil earnings will be disbursed today. The Alaska Fund issues annual payouts to eligible individuals based on the fund’s performance. Adam Crum, the Department of Revenue Commissioner, has assured Alaskans that they will receive a fair share of the state’s natural resource wealth.
The Department of Revenue disclosed that over 8,000 applications were processed this year for the PFD, rendering thousands of residents eligible for a new stimulus check payment. This initiative is projected to inject an estimated $1 billion into the state’s economy. With a $75.08 billion fund, the PFD aims to invest 36% in public stocks and 20% in fixed income by 2023, while allotting the remaining 17% to infrastructure, lending, private income, exceptional opportunities, and private equity.
$1,300 stimulus checks mailed out today
For those who missed applying for this year’s stimulus check payment, there’s still hope for the future. The application process for the 2025 PFD payment will open next year. It’s crucial to remember that once applications open, residents should seize the opportunity to apply for the upcoming stimulus check payment.
In the words of Adam Crum, “Alaskans can look forward to receiving their fair share of the state’s natural resource wealth through the PFD initiative. We are committed to ensuring that this program continues to contribute to the economic well-being of our residents.”
