Jacqueline Jossa and her family have been left “trapped” by the torrential rain and flooding in Dubai, with those close to the star fearing they could struggle to return home as planned.
The EastEnders actress, 31, and husband, former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, 32, have told how their dream trip has turned into a “nightmare” thanks to the horrific weather conditions.
Heavy rain has been battering Gulf states over recent days, causing flash floods that have killed 20 people and disrupted flights at the world’s second-busiest airport. Dubai Airport advised passengers on Wednesday not to turn up as runways were flooded with water.

Dubai, a common travel destination for celebrities and influencers, is yet to record any death but the storms have forced airports to suspend operations and cancel a number of flights. Amid the chaos, Jacqueline and Dan are said to be worried about getting home from the UAE’s millionaire playground.
“Dan and Jacqueline took the kids on a break to Dubai and it’s ended up being a nightmare,” a source has said. “They’ve been trapped by the storms and are concerned about getting back home. The airport is chaos. They’ve hunkered down at their hotel and are hoping for the best.”
It’s not the first time the couple have seen a trip to Dubai scuppered by extreme weather conditions. Speaking to The Sun, the source recalled how the last time the pair visited Dubai without their kids in 2019 they got caught in a storm. “It’s like history repeating itself for them too,” the insider added. The Mirror has approached representatives for the couple for comment on this story.

Earlier this week, Dan took to his Instagram Stories to post an update showing the family holed up in their hotel. The reality TV star enjoyed a cuddle with his youngest daughter Mia, aged five, as they relaxed on the bed, with him captioning the sweet snap which he captioned with the words: “Daddy’s girl.”
Speaking on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Dubai Airport advised those planning to leave the country to use the flydubai website to track their flight status. “Dubai Airports can confirm that operations continue to be significantly disrupted at Dubai International (DXB) due to heavy rain and flooding on Tuesday, 16 April,” the spokesperson said.
“Due to the intense storm, operations were temporarily suspended for 25 minutes this afternoon, but have since recommenced, and are now in recovery mode. A total of 21 outbound and 24 inbound flights have been cancelled since 00:02hrs LT this morning, and 3 flights were diverted to other neighbouring airports. We urge guests to check directly with their airline to obtain the latest information on the status of their flight, allow significant extra travel time to the airport, and use Dubai Metro for smoother transit, which has extended operating hours until 03:00 hrs LT tonight.”
