Beyoncé has made history with her album Cowboy Carter, as she’s now the first black woman to ever hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. This comes just over a month after Beyoncé’s Texas hold ’em made her the first black woman with a #1 country single. Cowboy Carter debuted as the number one album, making it her 8th to top the Billboard 200 chart. Beyoncé knocked Morgan Wallen’s album One thing at a Time off the top spot on the chart. Cowboy Carter has more than 300 million streams in the US alone and is estimated to be the biggest album release of 2024. This is the pop star’s biggest album release since 2016’s Lemonade, which debuted with sales of more than 650,000 units at the time. Cowboy Carter features country music legend Dolly Parton as well as collaborations with artists such as Miley Cyrus and Post Malone.
