El presidente de Ucrania, Volodimir Zelenski, pidió nuevamente este sábado (02.03.2024) a sus aliados occidentales que suministren a Kiev más sistemas de defensa antiaérea para “salvar vidas”, tras unos bombardeos rusos que dejaron al menos seis muertos en Járkov (este), Odesa y Jersón (sur). “Rusia sigue atacando a los civiles”, denunció en sus redes el mandatario.

Los ataques con drones dejaron cuatro muertos, entre ellos un niño de tres años, en Odesa, a orillas del Mar Negro, además de causar la destrucción de un edificio residencial de nueve pisos. En Járkov, en tanto, los bombardeos mataron a un hombre de 76 años, y en la zona de Jersón, en el sur, falleció otra persona, según funcionarios regionales.

“Necesitamos más defensa antiaérea de nuestros aliados. Tenemos que reforzar el escudo aéreo ucraniano para proteger mejor a nuestro pueblo del terrorismo ruso”, dijo Zelenski. “Más sistemas de defensa antiaérea y más misiles para los sistemas de defensa antiaérea salvarán vidas”, abundó, en un mensaje acompañado con un video que muestra los efectos del ataque contra la población civil.

Dron derribado en San Petersburgo

Las Fuerzas Armadas ucranianas informaron hoy de un total de 17 ataques durante la noche con drones kamikaze de fabricación iraní, de los que un total de 14 fueron derribados por las defensas antiaéreas en Odesa, Mikoláiv, Zaporiyia, Járkov, Sumi y Dnipropetrovsk. “Por desgracia, a consecuencia de los impactos y de los fragmentos que han caído en las regiones de Odesa y Járkov, hay muertos y heridos”, informó la Fuerza Aérea en su comunicado.

Tras dos años de guerra, el mandatario ucraniano ha urgido estos últimos días a sus aliados occidentales a entregar la ayuda militar más rápidamente, sobre todo municiones, sistemas de defensa antiaérea y aviones de combate.

En paralelo, Ucrania parece haber llevado a cabo un ataque nocturno con dron que alcanzó a un edificio residencial en San Petersburgo, la segunda ciudad más importante de Rusia. Medios ucranianos reportaron a su vez que el dron fue abatido por la defensa aérea rusa cuando se dirigía a un depósito de petróleo, situado a menos de un kilómetro del lugar del incidente.

Kiev atacó varias instalaciones petroleras rusas en los últimos meses, en lo que califica de respuesta justificada a los reiterados ataques de Moscú a la red eléctrica ucraniana.
