Team USA Announces Four Golfers Headed to Paris Olympics
With the 2024 Paris Olympics approaching, the United States has its lineup of golfers set. The United States is taking their heavy hitters to Paris as each member is a previous major winner.
The United States is taking Scottie Scheffler, Colin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Wyndham Clark to the Olympic games. The four have six major titles between them.
Xander Schauffele is the most recent major winner of the group hoisting the trophy at the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla. Scheffler has two majors, both coming at the Masters.
Colin Morikawa has won the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship. Wyndham Clark's major came at the 2023 U.S. Open.
Schauffele brings in Olympic experience as he took home the gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (which were held in 2021 due to COVID-19).

Interestingly enough, the United States took four players from the PGA Tour to represent them in these Olympics. Bryson DeChambeau, the 2024 U.S. Open champion and member of LIV Golf, who has dominated in majors this year, was left off the team.
