Woman Pushing 'Biting' Shark Away From Boat With Bare Hands Shocks Internet

A professional shark diver has shocked the internet with a video in which she pushes a huge tiger shark away from her boat, using just her bare hands.
The viral post, shared on TikTok in May under the username @andriana_marine, shows the tiger shark approaching the boat near the engines, posing the risk of damaging them with her shark teeth.
Immediately the diver pushes the predator away with her bare hands, while jokingly telling it to stay away from the engines because they are expensive.
A caption reads: "When a tiger shark keeps biting your boat engines... And throws a tantrum when you push her away." Followed by a disclaimer that says: "I am a professional shark diver. Do not attempt."
With their impressive size and sharp teeth, sharks are among the most feared creatures in the animal kingdom. But these big fish are often misunderstood.
Indeed, statistics show that even though sharks have the potential to be dangerous, there are only about 69 unprovoked shark attacks each year, which isn't a huge number when compared to other animals.
Data shared by Statista shows that the animal that kills most people every year is the mosquito with over 1 million deaths worldwide in 2022, followed by the snake with 100,000 deaths, and the dog with 30,000 deaths.
Freshwater snails, bugs, bees, and even tapeworms kill more people every year than sharks. However, sharks are wild and unpredictable creatures, so unless you're a diving expert, you should always stay away from them and avoid any kind of interaction.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 6.6 million views and 588,400 likes on the platform.
One user, Sing_with_me, commented: "I'm sorry but the way she treats that SHARK as a cat or somthing, like I would run away and freak out."
Jonandkatsmom said: "That's a great way to lose a hand. At least use an oar or a net!!! Please."
Foggy added: "They're so cute! She totally bonded with him. Sharks are not always bad. Deer kill more people than sharks."
