Sergio Ramos will leave Sevilla this summer less than 12 months after returning to his boyhood club.
The 38-year-old's imminent departure was confirmed by Sevilla in an 89-word club statement on Monday.
It read: 'Sergio Ramos has informed Sevilla FC that he will not stay next season after fulfiling his dream of returning to the club where he came through the academy before making his international debut. Ramos made 37 appearances this season, scoring on seven occasions.
'The Club wishes to thank Sergio for the commitment, leadership and dedication that he has demonstrated this season, and wishes him the best for future.
'Sergio Ramos will bid farewell tomorrow at 11:00 at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, accompanied by Club President Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco.'

Ramos only rejoined Sevilla in September last year, having previously left the club in 2005
His last ever appearance for Sevilla came in a 2-1 home defeat by Barcelona in La Liga in May

Ramos first joined Sevilla as a child in 1996.
He left Seville to sign for Real Madrid in 2005 and would go on to become a club legend after spending 16 seasons in the Spanish capital.
Ramos then had a two-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain before going back to Sevilla last September.
Over his two spells at the club, Ramos made 87 first-team appearances for Sevilla.
It is currently unclear what Ramos will do next but he has been linked by ESPN with a possible switch to San Diego FC in the USA.
Ramos is best known for his 16 seasons at Real Madrid, with whom he won 22 trophies
His next destination could be new club San Diego FC, who will play at Snapdragon Stadium
San Diego FC is a club that does not technically exist yet but it is expected to join Major League Soccer early next year.
The club - whose ownership group includes British-Egyptian businessman Mohamed Mansour - will play at the 35,000-capacity Snapdragon Stadium.
