Nicola Coughlan's family gave Bridgerton co-star Luke Newton a true Galway experience
Can you really say you've been to Ireland if you haven't gotten through at least one pint of the black stuff?
Apparently not according to Nicola Coughlan who along with her family decided to get her Bridgerton co-star (and rumoured real-life love interest) Luke Newton a little bit tipsy on Guinness on their recent trip to Galway.

'I brought him to have dinner with my family and they tried to get him drunk on pints of Guinness, ' she gleefully announced to Cat Deely and Ben Sheppard during a sitdown with This Morning.
'We had a pie and some pints and he was given the true Galway experience,' she insisted. Luke chimed in to confess: 'I love Guinness but I can't keep up with the Irish.'

The duo also recounted a heartwarming but completely hilarious experience with Nicola's family at the Bridgerton screening in Galway when she spotted her mother in the crowd and introduced her to Luke.
Commenting on the moment during the interview, she said: 'I haven't told you this. I saw my mum recently at the cinema screening, I hadn't seen her in a little while so I got a bit emotional and gave her a hug.

'The video went a bit viral and when I showed it to her she watched the bit where Luke hugged her and went "that's the one"
'I was like "that's the one!? but you gave birth to me.' By all accounts, Luke's welcome from the Coughlan family will do little to dampen down the speculation that he and Nicola are more than just good friends.
