Former Western Force rugby star Brynard Stander has revealed why he chased down two teenagers who allegedly stabbed and robbed two men.
The teens have since been charged over the alleged stabbing attack in Karrinyup, Western Australia, which left the alleged victims with critical injuries.
Detectives from Mirrabooka have charged the boys, aged 16, with a count of aggravated armed robbery each as well as two counts of grievous bodily harm.
The alleged incident unfolded at around 2.30pm on Sunday and Stander, who was nearby at the time, explained what motivated him to pursue the alleged offenders.

In a statement on Monday, police said they will allege that the pair were armed with knives when they went to Northgate Street in Karrinyup to meet two 18-year-old men in a vehicle as part of a prearranged meeting.
'It will be alleged the two offenders threatened the two male victims.
'During the altercation, one of the 18-year-old victims sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and the other 18-year-old victim sustained slash wounds to his left wrist and thigh.
'Both (alleged) victims were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries.

'One of the (alleged) offenders allegedly grabbed a bag containing cannabis from the victim's vehicle before both offenders fled down an alleyway between Northgate Street and Edmondson Crescent.'
The cops added that they will allege that information received from members of the public helped them arrest the alleged offenders.
The teens are due appeared before the Perth Children's Court on Monday.
