Love Island review: Islanders faced with love triangles from all angles in week two

We've now entered that dangerous territory that the Euros matches are taking place at the same time Love Island's on... what a conundrum!

From a brutal double dumping to the arrival of three new bombshells, the Islanders have certainly been kept on their toes with a week chock-full of twists, drama, and arguments in the second week of Love Island 2024.

If, like us, you're now conflicted as to whether you'll watch the football or Love Island, take a look back at everything you might've missed in week two:

Double dumping

The Love Island villa was rocked by a double dumping this week as Patsy and Munveer were sent packing. Though the public vote determined which couples faced elimination, it was their fellow Islanders that had the determining say.

Fans were outraged that the 'fittest boy in the villa' Munveer had been sent on his merry way, adding that he had 'the best face card' in the history of the show.

Bombshells

Love Island was graced with the arrival of three bombshells. They weren't drip fed into the villa, however, and arrived all at once!

Tiffany, Wil and Grace - who is the model ex-girlfriend of contestant Joey - all strutted their stuff through the villa doors as they prepared to turn their fellow Islanders' days on their heads.

25-year-old Grace hails from Manchester. She is the co-owner of a social media marketing agency. Tiffany, 25, is a HR coordinator hailing from Hertfordshire.

Meanwhile, Wil is a 23-year-old quantity surveyor who hails from Whitley Bay. We're intrigued to see which contestants turn out to be these three's type on paper...

Love triangles galore

2024 is the season of love triangles it appears, and it's not a cute look! Though Ayo and Mimii were the public's early favourite couple, Uma's arrival found them entrapped in an awkward situation.

Uma chose to couple up with Ayo, but when Mimii and Omar were left single and faced with a decision of coupling up with each other or stealing other Islanders, Mimii chose to steal her man back and couple up with Ayo.

Just hours after confirming they were on an 'equal' playing field, Mimii let slip that she and Ayo shared a kiss in bed and he was then forced to fess up to Uma, who stormed off in tears.

Uma went on to give out yards about Mimii and Ayo for chatting and putting on the PDA in front of her. Uh oh!

Meanwhile, Ronnie's found himself caught in a love triangle with Jess and Harriett. We can hardly keep up.

The first 'closed off' couple of the season

Ciaran, 21, and Nicole, 24, became the first 'closed off' couple of the 2024 season, but we know as well as everyone else that it's early days yet!

Fans certainly aren't buying it, as they clocked the arrival of bombshell Grace piqued Ciaran's interest. Did he put all of his eggs in Nicole's basket a bit too soon.

Who's coupled up with who?

At present, there are six couples and three singletons in the Love Island but that could all change in a matter of mere hours.

Nicole and Ciaran, our 'closed off' couple, are of course together while Samantha is coupled up with Joey.

As for our love triangles, Jess has wound up in a couple with Sean meaning Harriett is with Ronnie. Elsewhere Mimii and Ayo are together while Uma's found herself in a couple with Omar.

New bombshells Grace, Wil and Tiffany could drastically shake things up, however. Everything's still to play for!

Love Island continues on Sunday night at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and the Virgin Media Player.
