Oilers hammer Panthers 8-1 to avoid Stanley Cup final sweep
You know it's it's just one win. That's all it is. Doesn't matter if you score 8 or you score one, You know it's just one win and. We got to go to Florida and and, and do a job and, and, and, you know, drag them back to Alberta. You just have to make sure that you you put in the work next game to to create those looks again, right. You know that they're going to be a little bit tighter and, and be focused on that part of the game. But you know, over the years, we've always. We've always come through, you know, even even with teams playing as tight. So obviously it feels good to to put a couple goals on the board. But yeah, just have to make sure we we stay on it. There's no moral victories in hockey. You're down 3 even though you think you played pretty well. And the key is just to stick with it. I think people on the outside looking to see the score and see what what the series score is. But in the locker room, we feel like we've been right there. And I think that that's fueled the belief in this group. Game 1/3 and four were very similar in the chances tonight. Just more confidence, a little more luck, pucks went in the net. But overall I thought three of our four games have been very similar. I don't believe in momentum at all. Because I would have been wrong. At 3, nothing to have that one happen. So you just reestablish your game and you come back in the fight. So I'll fire at least one cliche for you. We came into Edmonton to get a sweat. We got what we needed.
