Angel Reese Facing Backlash After Dirty Play vs. Caitlin Clark
The Chicago Sky rematch with the Indiana Fever sure made plenty of headlines on Father's Day. Angel Reese's kiss towards the Fever crowd in the first half sparked a ton of reactions.
Then, Reese got assessed a flagrant foul for a play on Caitlin Clark. Clark was driving to the basket and Reese went up to block the shot, instead hitting the Fever rookie and sending her to the floor.
After the play was reviewed, the refs decided to upgrade the call to a flagrant foul. As such, it prompted fans to call out the Sky rookie for the controversial play, one that will surely be replayed a lot for weeks to come.
Some fans even mentioned that Angel Reese should've been tossed from the game.
It is another chapter in the rivalry between the Sky and Fever, one that ignited when Chennedy Carter had an incident with Caitlin Clark earlier in the season.

However, some fans were a bit upset it was a flagrant foul to begin with.
The refs provided reasoning for assessing a flagrant on Reese: "After review, the call has been upgraded to a flagrant one. We have follow-through, impact, unnecessary contact to the head.”
It will be interesting to hear the discourse now with the latest incident between these two teams.
