Shaq apologizes to Angel Reese after perceived on-air slight

Angel Reese appeared to be frustrated with fellow LSU alum Shaquille O’Neal for not defending her on Inside the NBA when Charles Barkley called WNBA players small-minded for being physically aggressive towards rookie Caitlin Clark.
Shaq was sitting right next to Barkley when he said it. This upset Reese who was disappointed that Shaq was unwilling to defend her in that moment. So she called him out on it. “Angel actually called me," Shaq said. "She was upset, ‘Why didn’t you say nothing?’ I said, ‘Angel, because Charles does what he always does.’ He takes up a segment and by the time (it’s my turn, the producers say), ‘Sorry we got to get to commercial.” Shaq tried to make it right on a recent episode of The Big Podcast by saying, “One person may have all the props but it’s never one person. Like don’t say ‘oh we’re getting new sponsorship because of Caitlin. No, what about Angel, what about [Kamilla] Cardozo, what about my favorite Kelsey Plum.”
Hopefully, that will be enough to appease Angel Reese and she will take calls from Uncle Shaq again.
The Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever are moments away from tipping off in their much anticipated showdown.
