Threat for severe weather returns to northwestern Ontario
Moisture as well as the heat is shifting towards the east, bringing about a Father's Day severe thunderstorm risk across Northwestern Ontario. The risk can accompany with a large hail as well as heavy rainfall and strong winds for areas across the southern portions of northwestern Ontario. Now it's going to be a cold front that brings these thunderstorms to fruition heading into the later half of the afternoon, early evening and pushing through the evening before starting to weaken and taper off into the night. On the back end of this, the Prairies are still going to be looking at gusty winds. Sunday evening can accompany strong wind gusts for the western portions of Manitoba, with gusts getting all the way up to 90 kilometers an hour. And after all of this, the cooler temperatures will infiltrate across regions of Manitoba and Northern Ontario, bringing them back to seasonal conditions.
