Raphinha hits back at Mbappe in Euro 2024 vs World Cup debate
Barcelona forward Raphinha has hit back at Kylian Mbappe while on international duty with Brazil.
Mbappe has said recently that the European Championship is a harder competition to win than the World Cup as he aims for glory this summer in Germany at Euro 2024.
Yet Raphinha isn’t too impressed with Mbappe comments and had a little dig at Real Madrid’s new signing at a press conference.
“Unfortunately for him and fortunately for us, he lost a World Cup to a South American team,” he told reporters.
“I would like to see the European teams doing qualifiers in South America with the pitches we face, the altitudes, then we would see if it was easy or difficult.”
Raphinha is currently with the Brazil squad going for glory at the Copa America. He’ll also come up against Mbappe next season when Barca face Real Madrid.
